Knowledge and Experience

Tunnell Government Services’ Senior Vice President Jerry Robinson has more than 30 years of experience in government contracting, including experience with scientific services, technologies, software and solutions ranging from innovative C4ISR and advanced sustainment systems to counterterrorism, intelligence and integrated security solutions for clients in the defense, intelligence and homeland security communities. To his work with Tunnell’s government clients he also brings a strong background in finance and accounting that is invaluable for agencies that must do more with less in an age of tightening budgets. Formerly Chairman and CEO of SFA, Inc., a subsidiary of then Global Technology Strategies, Inc., a national security company, he has a deep understanding of the needs of government agencies and an extensive track record of working with them successfully. His prior experience also includes serving as Chief Financial Officer of SFA, Inc. In addition, he has held key finance positions at Vega Precision Laboratories, a defense electronics manufacturing company; Halifax Engineering, a government contracting IT and security service company; and Fairchild Industries.

Knowledge and Experience

Russ brings to Tunnell Government Services over 25 years’ experience as a military scientist, successfully leading medical R&D organizations of increasing complexity and scope, including 8+ years of executive (Commander/CEO/Senior Vice President) leadership. Russ will provide technical support to Tunnell’s FDA team and will apply extensive scientific/medical subject matter expertise and in-depth knowledge of select government agencies for the development of strategic plans for this targeted account. Since retiring from the military, he served as CEO of Coleman Defense Medical Countermeasures Consulting with the specific purpose of assisting small commercial companies enter the Federal Government medical product development space.  Previously he was Vice President for Federal Business Development at Rho Inc. and was the Business Development Executive for Military Health Systems at the Battelle Memorial Institute, with an emphasis on developing and creating solutions to solve pressing medical challenges.
